How long have you been a professional photographer?

I have been a wedding and family photographer for 5 years now, but have been taking photographs and editing them for as long as I can remember! After graduating from the University of Sussex I knew I wanted to become a photographer, and so I set up my website straight away and the rest is history!

Can I see a whole wedding gallery?

Yes, upon request I am happy to give access to a full wedding gallery. Not only will this show an example of every photograph delivered from one wedding, you are also able to see how the private online galleries work.

Are you insured?

Yes, I have public liability insurance and can provide my certificate if requested by you or your wedding venue.

Do we have to feed you at our wedding?

No, you don't have to provide any food for me. If you would like to offer me food that would be lovely, but I do require it to be gluten free so please let me know so I can speak to your venue or caterer beforehand.

Where are you based and will you travel?

I am based in Burbage, Leicestershire and am happy to travel for both weddings and family photography. I have a travel radius of 50 miles and additional costs will be added on if I am required to travel further.

What happens if you are ill?

I have a network of photographers who I can contact to take my place for the day if I am ill, the photographer will then pass on the photographs they take on the day to myself to edit them, so what you will receive will still be in my style of editing. This will not affect any monetary transactions between us.

How long after our wedding/ photoshoot will we recieve our photographs?

For wedding photography you will recieve your online gallery within two months of your wedding day, your USB will then be ordered once you have confirmed your design. If you have had a family or studio session, then your photographs will be available to view within one month of your shoot.

Do I get copyright of my images?

You will recieve personal reproduction and printing rights to your photographs, This means that you are able to share and your print your photographs as many times as you want. I always retain the copyright of all photographs as it protects them from being rededited or sold on.

How do we pay for our wedding or photoshoot?

I use online invoicing which enables you to pay via Paypal or BACs. Wedding photography bookings require a 25% non-refundable booking fee to secure your date, then the remaining amount is required atleast 14 days before your wedding. If you would like to pay in smaller installments I am happy to accept this. All other photoshoot session fees must be paid in full prior to the shoot taking place.

Do we get all of the photographs you take?

No I do not provide every photograph I take on a wedding day or at a photoshoot. I take lots of multiple photographs to make sure I can the best moments (and miss those blinking photos) I then go through and pick out all of the best moments and edit the photographs individually to deliver to you!

Do we get a contract?

Yes every booking will have a contract which states all of the important information as well as the terms and conditions of your booking. These can also be found here -

How far in advance do we need to book?

My wedding dates tend to book up around a year, to a year and a half in advance, but what I would say is don't think you are getting in touch too early or too late. I have couples who have booked their date around two years in advance, and others just a few months. Family and studio shoots tend to be booked in a month to two weeks in advance, but again there is always some last minute availability.

Will we meet up with you before our wedding or photoshoot?

For all wedding bookings I like to meet up around two weeks before your big day, this is a great chance to get to know each other and go through the timings and specific photographs you would like on your wedding day. I do not usually meet up before family and studio shoots, but if you would like to chat more about the photographs you would like we can meet in person, chat over the phone or discuss over email.

What happens if it rains?

If it rains on your wedding day then we will make the most of it and get creative!! I love telling the story of your big day in my photography, so if it rains let's include that in your photographs! I always keep umbrella's in my car which we can use in your photographs, and as long as you're happy to then I will pop on a raincoat and head outside with you!! I know it's not possible to take larger group photographs outside in the rain, so I do always have a backup plan for where we can take group photographs inside your venue. If it is due to rain during your outdoor family shoot then I am happy to rearrange for another day, or later on in the same day if it is possible. Again if you want to incorporate the rain into your photographs - let's embrace the British weather, pop a raincoat on and get out there!!

Do you have back up's incase there is an issue with your camera?

Yes I have backups on backups on backups!! On your wedding day I will always carry backup options for everything, so I have two cameras, four lenses, two flash guns and lots of spare batteries and memory cards. When taking your photographs my camera will upload them to two different memory cards at the same time, so there is a backup of every photograph instantly. Then after the wedding your photographs are backed up only hard drives and cloud storage too.
