I'm so excited to share that Christmas Mini sessions are back for another year - and this year with a new addition of outdoor sessions too!
Christmas is honestly my favourite time of year, and I absolutely love these mini sessions! There's something so special about photographing your little ones at Christmas - and especially seeing how much they grow and change each year!
Anyway let's get to the details...
On Sunday 20th October at 7pm, bookings will open for this year’s Christmas Mini Sessions – and I can’t wait to capture another year of festive fun!
There are two different sessions on offer this year for you to choose from: the cosy 'Milk & Cookies' studio minis or the brand new 'Driving Home for Christmas' outdoor minis!
What to Expect This Year
STUDIO MINI'S
'The Night Before Christmas'
You can look forward to the usual Milk & Cookies Christmas Theme, with a lovely warm and cosy feel! Think twinkling lights, decorating trees, cosy blankets... and ofcourse milk & cookies!
These sessions are all about capturing those lovely little Christmas moments, whether your little one is tiny and snoozing under the tree, toddling around causing chaos, or already getting far too excited for Santa! Expect lots of christmas music and dancing, stories, baubles and santa hats galore.. and plenty of fun and laughter!
The one thing I love most about these sessions is that they are fun! They aren’t about getting everyone to sit perfectly and smile at the camera, let your little ones be little, have fun and be themselves and I can capture all of the lovely moments!

All studio sessions will take place in my cosy garden studio in Burbage, Leicestershire, with plenty of parking available outside.
Please note: due to the size of the studio, sessions are suitable for up to four children per booking.
OUTDOOR MINI'S
'Driving Home for Christmas'
Brand new for 2026, I'm so excited to offer Outdoor Mini Christmas Sessions!
I've wanted to do something like this for a while, and just think they are the cutest little festive memory to have!
These sessions are perfect for toddlers and younger children and will be limited to one child per booking. They will take place near my home in Burbage, Leicestershire and will include some beautiful portraits of your child inside the cutest little car complete with their own christmas tree on top!
So if you love natural, fun and playful photographs like these, and want something a little different to the traditional Christmas set up - then these could be perfect for you!!

There will only be a limited number of outdoor sessions available, so if you love the idea of these, make sure you grab a slot when bookings open!
Why Book a Christmas Mini Shoot?
How many times do you scroll through your camera roll in January and realised all of your Chrismas memories are blurry, someone's not looking or you just missed the best moment?
Well by booking a photography session it means you are guaranteed to have beautiful memories of your children this year! One of the loveliest things about doing these shoots is seeing how much children change each year, and how special it is to be able to capture this moment in time!
The little face you see this Christmas won't be exactly the same next Christmas - so having photos to remember it by is priceless!
In a few years time you'll be saying...
Remember the christmas when they slept through the whole thing?
Remember when they were only just crawling and constantly trying to pull baubles of the tree?
Remember the first year they wrote a letter to Santa or sat and read their Christmas story themselves?
Things that feel like small moments now will be so special to look back on when that phase is passed and they are a that little bit taller!
And that's why I love these sessions.
They're a chance to pause everything for 20 minutes, have some fun and capture exactly who your little one is right now.
These sessions are also the perfect opportunity to get some gorgeous keepsakes too! You can use your photographs to create personalised Christmas cards or gifts, like framed prints, canvases, and wall art! Personal gifts can mean so much more than just a candle or box of chocolates. They really do stand the test of time! You could even add them to your decorations and enjoy watching how your family grows and changes each year!

Bookings will open on Sunday 20th September at 7pm - so set your alarms as these usually go pretty fast!
Both the Studio Minis and Driving Home For Christmas Outdoor Minis will be available to book through my Christmas Mini Sessions page, where you'll be able to choose which experience you'd like and follow the link through to the relevant booking site.
Why so early?
I know lots of people don’t want to think about Christmas just yet, surely we're still due another heatwave? ...but trust me - getting your session booked early means one less thing to worry about later!
By holding these sessions in October and November, you’ll have your photographs ready well before December. This means you can focus on the all important Christmas things instead, like putting the tree up, watching daily Christmas movies, indulging in mince pies and just spending quality time with your family!
But remember, there are limited slots available on all days, so be sure to grab yours if you’re keen to secure some professional Christmas portraits this year!
If you're still questioning why Christmas portraits are so important, I want to leave you with one last thing: the reason why I decided to do these mini sessions in the first place.
A Family's Limited Christmases
'A family only has a limited number of Christmases before their whole family changes forever.'
It really hit home. I’ve photographed engagements, weddings, first babies, and growing families for ten years now and every year I see how things change so quickly. So these sessions are about pausing time for just a moment, capturing the joy and excitement of your little ones at Christmas. (And maybe also because I’m a bit of a Christmas-loving lunatic myself!)
