East Midlands Wedding Venues

My Favourite Local Venues

As a wedding photographer I have had the chance to see lots of beautiful venues around the East Midlands, and I honestly couldn't pick one favourite! - Which has also been quite the struggle when trying to choose one for my own big day!

Before I photograph at a venue I always go and have a little look around and I love these little visits so much - having a chance to walk around before the big day, imagining a room full of love and laughter - and finding the best photo spots too!

So today I thought I would put together a little list of a few of my favourite local venues that I have photographed at before - I've managed to cap it at just five, but the list could go on and on!!

So if you're just staring on your wedding planning journey like me, then have a scroll and take a look at some of my favourite East Midland wedding venues!

1. The Carriage Hall

Housed in the former Plumtree railway station goods shed, the Perkins Family have lovingly restored this beautiful Victorian building into a stunning and unique venue.

2. Mythe Barn

Refined, rustic and contemporary, Mythe Barn is an idyllic wedding venue set amidst acres of Leicestershire countryside.

3. The Old Stables

The Old Stables is a stunning wedding and events venue set in the the grounds of the Griffin Inn in Swithland, one of the most picturesque parts of the Leicestershire countryside.

4. Hazel Gap Barn

A dramatic red-brick barn on the Welbeck Estate in Nottinghamshire, part of the Cripps & Co wedding venues.

5. Kelmarsh Hall

Kelmarsh Hall and Gardens are a wonderful setting for a country wedding whatever the season, offering a romance and grace that will colour every aspect of your wedding day.

Good luck on your search for your perfect venue!

If you have a favourite in the East Midlands area share them in the comments!!
